We LOVE cake pops. The little bites are indulgent and delectable. For a more grown-up and lower maintenance treat, we ditch the stick and call them truffles. The problem? The cake inside is often very sweet, mixed with frosting, and then dipped in sugary candy. We’d like to be able to eat more than just one. To that end, this issue’s Dime Store Gourmet focuses on two kinds of cake truffles (or pops, depending on how industrious you are).
