I don’t know when I first became aware of football, and I’m not sure when I attended my first game. I remember my mother cooking fried chicken to take tailgating, but I don’t remember the game (I do, however, remember eating the chicken). I remember one Saturday as a boy my father and I were out running errands and happened to pass by the football stadium and the old man made the snap decision to park and go buy us tickets.
