So you want to work for Drawl? We can understand why. It's so much fun, it doesn't feel like work at all!
Do you love the South? Do you have great ideas or suggestions that you'd like to share with others? Do you like having creative control over your work? Are you able to periodically communicate online with us? Can you work on your own schedule within flexible deadlines? If you answered yes, we're right up your alley!
We need people all over the South to write about and photograph events, interview local artists and musicians, and even write opinion pieces. You could submit to the magazine once, or become a regular contributor, submitting one or two pieces every two months. Not a writer or a photographer? Help us network and/or find advertisers!
We are an up-and-coming publication, and unfortunately, we don't have any staff positions currently available; we are, however, looking for contributors who are willing to "work" for food, fun, and a lot of exposure. As an extra incentive, becoming a regular contributor means you'll be first in line for paid positions as they become available!
Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
- Location (City and State will be fine)
- Interest(s) (What niche would you like to fill at Drawl?)
- Specialty (Writer? Photographer? Artist? Something else?)
- Sample(s) of your work (Links or attachments are acceptable)
Expect to hear back from us in a week or less. If you're accepted as regular Drawl contributor, we'll request a short biography for our People page, give you a Drawl email address/user ID, and discuss your first submission(s) and deadlines.
